It is inspired by the classic tin toys from the 1920s and 30's-before injection molded plastic took over the toy industry. The nostalgic look of tin toys comes from their decoration and classic shapes. They start as flat sheets of tin-plated steel.
Just like paper, they can be printed with colorful designs reminiscent of a bygone era.
Every tin toy starts out as a flat sheet of metal that is printed and then cut into separate pieces. Each piece is then formed into its final shape through numerous tooling stations. The pieces are then hand-assembled to create the final toy. So, minor marks and paint flaws can occur.
All tin toys are produced in the same style as in the 1950s and ’60s.
